Upcoming Notification (Call-in) Meetings with the HP Violent Crimes Task Force (VCTF):
**VCTF notifications stopped in 2020 due to COVID. From 2020 into 2022, the data began to show that over 10 percent of our violence is being perpetrated by juveniles and young adults (15-24 years old). In 2022, HPCAV began to research and is currently refocusing our efforts on this group of individuals. We do not have plans to restart Notifications at this time.
All notification meetings begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 3rd floor, High Point City Hall, 211 S. Hamilton Street, High Point.
Note: Notifications are open to the public, but these are serious events. As of September 5, 2012, participation is limited to people age 16 and older. What is said to individuals who have been called in as well as the tone of voice used by our speakers could be upsetting to younger children. Other attendance arrangements may be made (not guaranteed) via the High Point Police Department or NC Probation and Parole, with parental release forms signed in case of minors, by either of the above law enforcement’s agency discretion only.
